Spending summer in Korea was a remarkable experience filled with warmth and cherished family moments. I have been in Korea for nearly 50 days now, and when I first arrived, my baby Noah was just under 100 days old. I was quite anxious about the long flight and how he would adjust, but surprisingly, he has been doing remarkably well. This trip has become more than just a visit; it’s an opportunity to strengthen family bonds, witness my child’s growth, and reconnect with the beauty of my homeland.
Currently, as the season transitions to autumn, Korea is experiencing refreshing weather after a sweltering summer. I’ve been staying at my parents’ house, where the air conditioning was constantly running during the heat. I hardly dared to step outside, but even in those conditions, Noah has thrived and grown in love. Showing him off to family and receiving their affection has made him an even brighter presence in our lives. Every little moment feels significant, and I want to hold onto these memories forever.
My husband brought us to Korea but had to return to Canada just a week later due to work commitments. He had a lot on his plate back home, but he plans to come back soon for a month and a half of vacation. I’m really looking forward to exploring Korea together and creating new memories as a family. Now that autumn is here, Noah and I have started enjoying walks in the beautiful fall weather. The clear skies and crisp air make Noah’s laughter even more delightful. The autumn season evokes feelings and memories from my childhood, providing a comforting sense of nostalgia.
Thus, my time in Korea is an ongoing and unforgettable journey. Sharing these moments with my family and witnessing my child’s growth in my homeland fills me with immeasurable joy. The anticipation of traveling around Korea with my husband soon is exciting, and I can’t wait to soak in all the experiences together. The blend of Korea’s nature, culture, and family love brings me immense strength. I’m truly grateful for the happiness that comes from being in my own country and speaking my own language.
